Grieving, Healing, Complex Trauma
This 2-day Professional Development Workshop focuses on Grieving and Healing.
Grieving and Mourning are necessary steps to successfully help individuals, families and communities stop the effects of trauma. If trauma does occur and not resolved, it could be carried into the next generation.
While exploring Indigenous perspectives on wellness, participants will learn how to identify stages of depression; the processes of grief and gain awareness on how intergenerational, historical and current trauma play a major role in these complex issues.
In addition, professionals working with Indigenous communities will have the opportunity to see how essential ceremonies and rituals are important in moving through various stages of trauma.
